Diversity is the Spice of Life

Resiliency in adversity,

depends upon diversity,

strengthening community,

through its many storms.

Fire and flood,

drought and wind,

deforestation, overpopulation,

a climate that's changing, and so much more.

Some, natural cycles of ecosystem succession.

Some, imposed in the name of human progression.

But what good is progress for one if one member of community can't survive alone?

Resiliency in adversity,

depends upon diversity,

strengthening community,

through its many storms.

Each member of community,

a gift we do possess,

to thrive and help our neighbor,

to live our very best.

Diversity is the spice of life; and the most heavily seasoned landscape is the most resilient community of all.
